Azza is responsible for strategic leadership, management and execution of Microsoft’s plans and programs in education across the Gulf region. Her role targets the provision of support to Microsoft's plans to help transform education and execute on its vision of "expanding the power of education for all through personalised learning". Before joining Microsoft, Azza was Advisor to Egypt’s Minister of Investment, having been responsible for establishing a research division to undertake and disseminate policy research and publications on investment trends, asset management activities and non-bank financial services in Egypt. Azza has also been a lecturer at the American University in Cairo, and has undertaken numerous consultancy roles with international organisations such as UNDP, the World Bank as well as the EU, and other non-government organisations such as Oxfam.
