Mr. Bastaki is Project Director of Emirates Aluminum, which is the world's largest single-site smelter currently under construction in Abu Dhabi. Prior to assuming the responsibilities for the building of this singular complex in aluminum smelting, Mr. Bastaki accrued 24 years of experience in engineering and management in many aspects across the aluminum industry. He also chartered the UK Institute of Engineering and Technology, where he presently serves as a Fellow. He was certified as the Professional Project Manager of the Global Project Management Institute of the USA. He served on the Board of Directors of the UAE Society of Engineers. He served as Vice Chairman of the Dubai Quality Group. Mr. Bastaki is the author of many professional articles which have appeared in trade magazines and in professional engineering journals. |
