EYAD SHIHABI

MD & Enterprise Business Lead HP Middle East

Eyad Shihabi serves as Managing Director and HP Enterprise Business leader, HP Middle East. In this role, he is responsible for driving the Enterprise Business for HP in the Middle East and holds the overall responsibility as managing director for the Middle East operations.

Shihabi, a US national, began in this role in October 2010. He is an experienced manager with strong leadership skills, and significant international and multinational experience. His background with sales operations and his understanding of the importance of partners is profound.

Prior to joining HP, Shihabi was the CEO of Smartworld, a unique player focused on ICT, Aviation, and Smart Cities.

Prior to his employment with Smartworld, he worked for SITA since 2001 and was a Group Vice President over the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific regions responsible for building a business focused on meeting SITA’s air transport customers’ requirements for value-added solutions.

Prior to joining SITA, Eyad held a number of key positions at Los Angeles World Airports over a period of ten years, managing its technology and telecommunications division over four major airports in Southern California. Eyad left the Los Angeles World Airports in January 2001 as Director of IT and acting CIO to relocate to Dubai and join SITA.

Eyad holds a degree in Computer Engineering and a Master of Business Administration. He is an active player in the ICT domain across a number of industry bodies and was a key speaker at a number of international conferences. Eyad has also served as vice chairman of the Business and IT committee of the ACI North America chapter.
